What this directory is, and who publishes it
AttorneysOnline.Directory is published by Viderant, alongside Attorneys.Media. It is a directory of attorneys in which position is never for sale, and listing is free permanently.
What makes a page here
The directory is built around questions clients actually ask. An attorney answers one question on camera, that filmed answer becomes the page a client lands on, and the attorney who answered it is shown first on that page. Everything else on the site — the practice areas, the places, the browse indexes — exists to lead to one of those answers.
Alongside the filmed answers there are free listings built from public sources. They are shown after every attorney who answered on camera, they are free permanently, and an attorney can claim one and have the details verified against their own state’s licensing records.
How we make money, since you should ask
Interviews are produced and sold through Attorneys.Media. That is the business. It is not the resale of consumer data, and it is not paid placement: an interview earns the answer slot on the question it answers, and it does not buy general position. There is no paid placement product on this directory and there is no plan for one.
Listing stays free either way, and a verified listing passes a followed link to the firm’s own site — which most directories do not.
What we will not do
| Here | |
|---|---|
| Sell position in the rankings | Never. No paid placement product exists. |
| Charge a referral fee on an inquiry | None. |
| Sell or share your personal information | No. See Do Not Sell or Share. |
| Show a competitor’s advertising on an attorney’s profile | Never. |
| Publish the ranking method | Published, on one page. |
This site is not a law firm and not a lawyer referral service. Nothing on it is legal advice, and using it creates no attorney-client relationship.
Where the words come from
The Quick answer on each answer page is an excerpt summary, drawn from that video and its transcript and nothing else. How those summaries are made, what they do not add, and where automation is and is not used are set out on the editorial standards page.
