Editorial standards and AI disclosure
How the written answers on this site are produced, stated openly, because a directory asking to be trusted should show its work.
Every question page derives from a filmed interview with a named, admitted attorney. The video and its verbatim transcript live on Attorneys.Media. What appears here is that answer rewritten into readable prose, attributed to the attorney who gave it, with their jurisdiction.
We do not publish a verbatim transcript on this site. That is a deliberate architectural rule, not an oversight: the transcript is Attorneys.Media's, and republishing it would create a duplicate of the canonical version.
AI is used as an editor, not an author. It assists in restructuring an attorney's spoken answer and in drafting definitional and cost material. It does not originate legal positions, and nothing publishes without review.
The publishing gate: a page publishes only if, with the proper nouns stripped out, it is still materially different from every other page on the site. State-level answers must carry genuinely state-specific substance, roughly 600 words of it, or they do not publish. City pages with no attorney and no answer are not published at all.
Corrections: tell us what is wrong and we will fix it.
How the excerpt summaries are made: every Quick answer on an answer page is an excerpt summary, drawn from that video and its transcript and nothing else. It is a condensed restatement of what the attorney said on camera, produced with software assistance and checked against the transcript before publication. It adds no legal analysis, no facts from any other source, and no opinion of ours. Where the law has moved since filming, the page carries a separate, dated Law update note rather than changing what the attorney said. The video and the full transcript remain the record; the summary is a way in, not a substitute.
