Privacy policy

This is a demonstration build and no production privacy policy has been reviewed by counsel yet. The structure below reflects what the launch policy must cover.

What we collect: information you submit in an inquiry or listing form, and standard technical request data such as IP address, user agent, and pages requested.

Why we collect it: to store your inquiry so a person on our team can read it and pass it to matching attorneys, to operate and secure the site, and to count aggregate demand by practice area and metro. Demand counting is aggregate and is not tied to your identity.

How an inquiry is stored: in our own database, with the page you submitted it from, the details you typed, your browser's user-agent string and a one-way hash of your IP address. We store the hash, never the address, and it exists to rate-limit abuse rather than to identify you.

Who sees it: our own team, and the attorneys a member of our team passes it to. It is not sent to any third-party service, advertising network or lead exchange, and no automated system forwards it.

What we do not do: we do not sell personal information, we do not share it with data brokers or lead aggregators, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Your rights: California residents have rights under the CCPA and CPRA including access, deletion, correction, and the right to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, and our Do Not Sell or Share page states that plainly.

Retention and deletion: inquiries are retained only as long as needed to route and support them, and you can request deletion.

Cookies: the launch policy will disclose every cookie and similar technology used, its purpose, and how to refuse non-essential ones.

Approximate location: the search boxes on the home page may arrive pre-filled with the city and state that Cloudflare derives from your IP address. That approximate location is used only to fill those two boxes so you can change or clear them, it is never stored, logged or shared, and the page works the same if you remove it.

Demonstration copy · the launch versions must be reviewed by counsel in the primary states before noindex is lifted

Build note · part of page type #20, the compliance set, which the build plan lists as blocking launch. Directories that route consumer inquiries sit close to lawyer-referral-service regulation, which is state-specific.
