How inquiries are routed

This page states plainly what happens when you submit an inquiry, because you are entitled to know before you type anything.

When you submit a form on this site, your inquiry is stored in our own database and read by a person on our team. It is not sent anywhere automatically and no automated system acts on it.

A member of our team then passes it to attorneys listed in the practice area and location you chose. That step is done by a person, so it is not instant, and we do not promise a time by which you will hear back from anyone.

We keep a record of which page you submitted from, the details you typed, your browser's user-agent string, and a one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address. The IP address itself is never stored.

No attorney pays to receive your inquiry. There is no referral fee, no per-lead charge, and no auction that determines who hears from you.

We do not sell your inquiry, and we do not sell or share your personal information with data brokers, lead aggregators, or advertisers.

Submitting an inquiry does not create an attorney-client relationship, and it does not obligate you or any attorney to anything. An attorney who receives it may decline to respond, and a response is not legal advice until an engagement exists.

Do not send confidential or time-critical information through this form. If you are facing a deadline, contact an attorney directly by phone.

You can ask us to delete an inquiry you have submitted. See the privacy policy for how to make that request.

Demonstration copy · the launch versions must be reviewed by counsel in the primary states before noindex is lifted

Build note · part of page type #20, the compliance set, which the build plan lists as blocking launch. Directories that route consumer inquiries sit close to lawyer-referral-service regulation, which is state-specific.
